We were
fortunate enough to experience the company of Nahimi’s Mum who stayed at the Dhamma Peace
Monastery and in other few places over a period of time during her stay in Brisbane. She arrived
in Brisbane, the day before the Binara Poya day and was the first Upasika to
have occupied the nunnery with me after completing the new constructions of this place, which inaugurated on the Binara Poya Full moon Day in 2015.
We had a
peaceful experience living with the elder even for a shorter period time.We meditated and
attended to many religious activities together.
She
is content, virtuous, pleasant, kind, considerate, peaceful and possessed those great qualities of a Buddhist Upasika.
We owe our gratitude to her for upbringing
and offering a great son (a great Buddha Puttra) to the Buddha Sasana (Our Most Ven. Wattegama Dhammawasa Nayaka Thero).
Devotees
of the Sri Lankarama Mahaviharaya in Brisbane were very fortunate to have had this
great opportunity to show their respect and gratitude to the elder.
She had the opportunity of bringing a Buddha Statue from Sri Lanka to be placed in our Monastery. We wish her well, long life and happiness and wish for
all her Noble aspirations to come true. May she be able to realize the Four Noble
Truths to end all suffering!
We offer our gratitude to Most Ven. Nayaka Thero and the Resident Venerables of the Sri Lankarama Maha Viharaya and the sponsors for all their support that was given and for organising this venture. May you all complete your virtues for the attainment of Nibbana!
May all those merit we perform in this monastery and elsewhere, support you to live well, happy and the attainment of liberation from this Sansara!
